Three-phase BLDC pre-driver with DMOS output stage
The BD63007MUV-E2: The BD63007MUV- is a three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor pre-driver from ROHM Semiconductor, built with DMOS technology. It integrates three half-bridge pre-driver outputs that drive external N-channel MOSFETs — you supply the FETs, and this chip handles the gate timing and logic interface. Rated for a continuous output current of 3 A and a supply/load voltage range of 8 V to 28 V, it suits small to medium BLDC motors in fans, pumps, and general-purpose motion control. The 3 A figure is the pre-driver's own current capability; the actual motor current depends on the external FETs you pair it with.
Housed in a 40-pin VFQFN package with an exposed pad, the BD63007MUV- requires a thermal land on the PCB to pull heat from the die. The pad should be soldered to a copper plane — the datasheet's recommended footprint is your starting point for the layout. The logic interface accepts standard logic-level signals, so it connects directly to a microcontroller or encoder without extra level shifting. Operating temperature spans -25°C to 85°C, covering most indoor and sheltered industrial environments.
