Active brushed DC motor driver with 1 A continuous output
The BD6211HFP-TR from ROHM Semiconductor is a fully integrated brushed DC motor driver combining control logic and a Power MOSFET output stage in a single HRP-7 package.
Half-bridge output and thermal envelope
The two half-bridge outputs drive a single brushed DC motor forward and reverse with On/Off interface control. The 1 A continuous rating is the headline figure, but the real-world current capability depends on the board's ability to sink heat from the exposed tab on the HRP-7 package — the tab is the primary thermal path to the PCB copper plane. At elevated junction temperatures the Power MOSFET Rds(on) increases, so derate the output current accordingly — a 1 A load at 25°C ambient may drop to 0.7 A at 85°C ambient without adequate copper area.
