500 mA adjustable LDO with 36 V input ceiling
The BD3575YHFP-MTR is a single-output, positive adjustable LDO regulator from ROHM Semiconductor, delivering up to 500 mA with a 2.8 V minimum output and a 12 V maximum output ceiling.
Dropout, quiescent current, and PSRR — the load-side trade-offs
Maximum dropout of 0.48 V at 200 mA sets the minimum input-to-output differential — if the input rail sags within 0.48 V of the target output, the regulator falls out of regulation. Quiescent current is 50 µA typical, low enough for always-on or battery-backed rails where the regulator's own draw must not dominate the standby budget. Power-supply rejection ratio is 55 dB at 120 Hz — this is the ripple-rejection figure for a full-wave rectified mains input; it tells you how much 100/120 Hz hum gets attenuated before reaching the load.
Protection and temperature range for industrial duty
Built-in over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection allow the regulator to survive a faulted output without cascading into the upstream supply.
