The BD33FC0FP-E2: The BD33FC0FP- is a single-output positive LDO regulator from ROHM, delivering a fixed 3.3 V at up to 1 A continuous from a maximum input of 26.5 V. In real terms, the 1 A output supports powering a moderate digital load — a sensor module, a microcontroller cluster, or a small FPGA core — without needing a separate switching regulator for the 3.3 V rail. The dropout voltage is specified at 0.7 V maximum at 500 mA load.
Protection and operating envelope
Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection circuits prevent the regulator from self-destructing under a sustained short or a high-ambient fault. The device recovers automatically once the fault clears — no latch-up, no external reset needed. The operating temperature range is -25 °C to 85 °C, which covers most industrial and commercial environments but not full automotive or extended military bands.
Package and board-fit detail
Supplied in a TO-252-3 (DPak) surface-mount package — the same footprint as the SC-63. The tab is the output (VOUT) connection, so the PCB copper area under the tab doubles as the thermal pad.
