1V fixed output, 1A — the dropout budget
The BD10IC0MEFJ-ME2: This is a single-output positive LDO with a fixed 1V output and a 1A current capability. At lower currents the dropout is less, but the 0.9V max figure is the one to budget for worst-case. The quiescent current is 700 µA typical. That is not a micropower figure — this LDO is suited for always-on rails where the load current dominates the power budget, rather than battery-powered sleep-mode applications.
Temperature grade and package — board-fit decisions
Control features include Enable and Soft Start. The Enable pin allows the regulator to be sequenced with other rails; Soft Start limits the inrush current during startup, which is useful when the output capacitance is large or the upstream supply is current-limited. Protection features are Over Current and Over Temperature — the regulator shuts down or folds back under fault conditions rather than failing open.
Compliance and supply documentation
The BD10IC0MEFJ-ME2 is ROHS3 compliant.
