Product details

AEC-Q100 adjustable LDO for automotive power rails

The BD00GA3MEFJ-ME2 is a positive adjustable low-dropout regulator from ROHM's Automotive series, qualified to AEC-Q100 for -40°C to 105°C ambient operation — the temperature band that covers cabin and under-hood electronics in passenger vehicles. Rated for 300 mA continuous output with a maximum dropout voltage of 1.2 V at full load, the headroom between the input rail and the set output voltage must stay above that figure across the load range to maintain regulation.

Parametric fit and protection

Quiescent current is 600 µA typical, rising to 1.2 mA maximum supply current — the regulator's own draw is low enough for always-on modules that must not drain the battery during key-off periods. On-chip protection includes over-current and over-temperature shutdown plus a soft-start circuit that limits inrush current during power-up, reducing stress on the upstream supply and the load.

Surface-mount assembly with an Enable control pin allows the regulator to be switched off by a GPIO or a power-management IC, dropping the quiescent current to near zero in standby.
