9V rail at 2A — dropout and PSRR that matter for analog loads
The BA90DD0WT: This is a fixed 9V positive-output LDO rated for 2A continuous. The 0.7V maximum dropout at full load means the input rail needs at least 9.7V to maintain regulation — a 12V bus with 10% tolerance (10.8V minimum) still holds 1.1V of headroom. The 55dB PSRR at 120Hz tells you the output rejects 120Hz ripple from a full-wave rectifier by a factor of about 560 — useful when the regulator sits downstream of a bulk capacitor but upstream of sensitive analog circuitry. Quiescent current is 120µA typical — low enough that the regulator's own draw does not dominate the power budget in always-on subsystems, though not at the ultra-low-Iq level of a micropower LDO for battery-backed standby rails.
Protection set and temperature grade for industrial environments
Three built-in protections — over-current, over-temperature, and over-voltage — cover the common fault modes in a power rail: a shorted load, a thermal runaway condition, or an input transient that exceeds the nominal 25V maximum input. The -40°C to 125°C operating range qualifies the part for industrial enclosures, motor-drive cabinets, or outdoor equipment where ambient temperature swings are wide.
