Protection ratings that define the fit
The 1.5KE18CA_R2_00001: The peak pulse current is 59.5 A under the same waveform, which is the actual current it diverts during clamping. Three voltage numbers set the protection window. The reverse standoff voltage is 15.3 V — this is the maximum continuous DC voltage the diode can sit across without conducting. The breakdown voltage starts at 17.1 V minimum, where it begins to avalanche. A 15 V rail, for example, stays below the standoff voltage in normal operation, and the diode clamps any transient that would push the rail above 25.2 V.
Package and temperature envelope
Housed in the DO-201AE axial-lead package, it mounts through-hole on the board. The operating junction temperature range spans -65 °C to 175 °C, covering military and industrial thermal extremes. The tape-and-reel packaging option is for automated insertion, though for obsolete surplus stock the reel quantities are lot-specific.
