The NOIP1SF0480A-STI is a PYTHON series CMOS image sensor from onsemi, delivering a 0.5-megapixel active pixel array of 808H x 608V with a 4.8 µm x 4.8 µm pixel size. Operating from a 1.7 V supply, it achieves 120 frames per second — the frame rate is set by the pixel readout architecture and the digital interface bandwidth, not by the sensor's analog settling time.
Pixel architecture and deployment fit
The 4.8 µm pixel pitch balances sensitivity and dynamic range — larger than the 2–3 µm pixels in consumer phone sensors, so the PYTHON series suits low-light industrial inspection and scientific imaging where photon collection per pixel matters more than die size. At 120 fps the sensor outputs a full-resolution frame every 8.3 ms — the integration time per frame must be set below this period, and the downstream FPGA or processor must sustain the pixel data rate across the LVDS or parallel interface without dropping lines.
