Triac output for AC load switching
The output blocks 400 V off-state, so it handles 240 VAC line switching with margin for transients. Because it has no zero-crossing circuit (non-zero-crossing), the triac fires immediately when the LED current exceeds the 5 mA trigger threshold. This makes it suitable for phase-control dimming, random-turn-on loads, or applications where the switch-on point must be independent of the AC line phase.
The 1.15 V typical forward voltage and 60 mA maximum DC forward current align with standard 5 V or 3.3 V logic drive; the 100 µA typical holding current keeps the triac latched once triggered until the load current drops below that level.
The part ships in tube and is available for RFQ against BOM quantities. The base product number MOC302 covers a family of triac optoisolators with different trigger currents and zero-crossing options.
