5000Vrms isolation in an 8-SMD Gull Wing
The HCPL4503TSVM is a single-channel, high-speed transistor-output optoisolator from onsemi, rated for 5000Vrms isolation in an 8-SMD Gull Wing package. The 250 ns turn-on and 260 ns turn-off times suit it for isolating digital logic signals in motor drives, power supplies, and industrial controls where galvanic isolation is mandatory.
CTR and switching window
Current transfer ratio spans 19% to 50% at a forward current of 16 mA — the minimum CTR ensures the output transistor can saturate a downstream logic input even at the low end of the LED drive. The 8 mA output current ceiling limits the direct-drive load to a single TTL/CMOS gate or a pull-up resistor; driving a relay or higher-current load requires a buffer transistor.
