AC/DC input — the differentiator
The H11AA4SVM accepts both AC and DC input signals, which means it can sense line-voltage zero-crossing or DC logic levels from the same device — a single BOM line covers both mains-detect and low-voltage control inputs. Rated for 4170Vrms isolation, this optoisolator provides a reinforced safety barrier between the high-voltage input side and the low-voltage output logic, suitable for applications requiring IEC 60950-1 or UL 1577 compliance.
CTR and drive margin
Minimum current transfer ratio of 100% at 10 mA forward current means the output transistor can sink at least 10 mA when the LED is driven at 10 mA — enough to pull a 5V logic input low through a 470 Ω pull-up resistor without marginal timing.
Package and temperature grade
Supplied in a 6-SMD gull wing package (6-SMD supplier device package), the H11AA4SVM is designed for surface mount assembly on standard FR-4 boards — the gull-wing leads provide visual solder-joint inspection access and relieve mechanical strain on the package body.
