USB 2.0 full-duplex transceiver — 480 Mbps physical layer
The onsemi FUSB2805MLX is a single-channel USB 2.0 transceiver supporting full-duplex communication at the full 480 Mbps data rate. It integrates one driver and one receiver (1/1 configuration), translating USB differential signalling to the digital logic levels of the host controller. Supply voltage spans 2.7 V to 4.5 V, which covers the 3.3 V and 3.0 V rails common in portable and embedded USB host/device designs.
Package and board-fit: 32-MLP with exposed pad
Housed in a 32-WFQFN exposed-pad package (supplier device package 32-MLP, 5x5 mm), the FUSB2805MLX requires a surface-mount reflow profile. The 5x5 mm footprint and 0.5 mm pitch QFN-style pads fit a standard 2-layer or 4-layer PCB layout. Decoupling capacitors should be placed within 2 mm of the supply pins; the exposed pad connects to the PCB ground pour to minimise ground bounce during high-speed edge transitions.
It is fully RoHS3 compliant, meaning no restricted substances above the threshold limits — no lead, mercury, cadmium, or phthalates in the package or plating.
