20 Mbps digital isolation with push-pull output
The FOD8173TR2 is a single-channel digital optocoupler from onsemi rated for 20 Mbps data rate with a push-pull, totem-pole output stage. The 55 ns max propagation delay and 7 ns typical rise/fall times keep signal edges clean for isolating fieldbus interfaces, PLC digital inputs, or gate-drive feedback paths.
Isolation and transient immunity for industrial noise
Reinforced isolation of 5000 Vrms meets the creepage and clearance requirements for motor-drive and power-supply safety barriers. The 20 kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity means the output does not glitch when the isolated side sees a fast voltage step — a common failure point in IGBT/SiC gate-drive circuits where the high-side reference jumps hundreds of volts in nanoseconds.
