The FOD2742BV is a single-channel optocoupler from onsemi that isolates a DC input from a transistor output across a 2500Vrms barrier. With a current transfer ratio (CTR) guaranteed between 100% and 200% at a forward current of 10 mA, the designer can size the LED drive resistor to ensure the output transistor saturates across the full CTR spread. The typical forward voltage is 1.2 V. The output transistor is rated for a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 70 V and can sink up to 50 mA continuous. Maximum Vce saturation is 400 mV, which keeps the on-state voltage drop low in logic-level interfaces.
