2500Vrms isolation, 8-SOIC surface mount
The FOD2742B is an onsemi single-channel optoisolator with a transistor output, rated for 2500Vrms isolation. That isolation voltage suits it for basic galvanic isolation in power-supply feedback loops, motor-drive signal paths, and industrial sensor interfaces where the primary-to-secondary clearance is under 2500 Vrms. It comes in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package — the same 0.154-inch-wide body as standard SOIC-8.
CTR bin 100-200% at 10 mA
Current transfer ratio is binned from 100% minimum to 200% maximum at a forward current of 10 mA. At 1.2V typical forward voltage, the input-side power dissipation is modest. Output side handles up to 70V collector-emitter and 50 mA continuous current. The 400 mV max Vce(sat) keeps the on-state voltage drop low in logic-level switching — useful when the output drives a microcontroller GPIO or a gate driver directly.
