The Omron TL-Q5MC1 is an inductive proximity sensor in a plastic box package with cable leads, rated for a 5 mm sensing distance. It is unshielded, so plan for side-by-side spacing — unshielded sensors need more clearance than shielded types to avoid mutual interference. The NPN-NO, 3-wire output sinks current when a target is present, which mates directly with sinking PLC input cards.
