The Omron EE-SX950-W 1M is an amplified through-beam photomicrosensor from the EE-SX95 series. It detects objects passing through a 0.197 mm slot and outputs a selectable NPN signal — Dark-ON or Light-ON — at 24 V supply. The built-in amplifier eliminates the need for a separate amplifier module, making it a direct fit for position sensing on pick-and-place heads, actuator flags, and conveyor gate detection in factory automation.
Slot depth and output selection
The 0.197 mm slot is sized for thin metal flags or plastic vanes — common in cam-driven limit switches. The NPN output can be wired for Dark-ON (load energized when beam is blocked) or Light-ON (load energized when beam is clear) by swapping the load connection; no DIP switch or jumper change needed. This saves a PLC input point if the logic sense needs to invert.
Supply and temperature range
Operates on 24 VDC supply. Rated for -25°C to 55°C. Output switching current is 0.05 A.
