Omron EE-SX672P – 5 mm through-beam slot sensor with PNP output
The Omron EE-SX672P is a through-beam photomicrosensor in a compact box-style housing for chassis mounting. It uses a 5 mm wide slot to detect objects that break the beam, and its PNP open-collector output directly interfaces with PLC inputs or industrial controllers that expect sourcing logic. The sensor operates on a 5 V supply and switches in 1 ms, making it suitable for edge counting, position verification, and jam detection in packaging lines, conveyors, and assembly stations where the ambient temperature stays between -25°C and 55°C.
The PNP open-collector output sources current to the load when the beam is uninterrupted. The load connects between the output and ground.
