4 m retroreflective — what it covers on the line
The Omron E3Z-R86 is a retroreflective photoelectric sensor in the E3Z family, rated for a 4 m sensing distance with a red 660 nm LED. That range suits conveyor lanes, pallet detection, and part-present gates in packaging and material-handling lines where a reflector mounts opposite the sensor. The PNP output is selectable between Dark-ON and Light-ON, so one unit handles both normally-open and normally-closed PLC input logic without a separate inverter.
IP67 and temperature — where it runs
The IP67 rating covers washdown and dusty environments. The operating range is -40°C to 55°C.
