The Omron E3Z-FTP12 2M is a through-beam photoelectric sensor with a 20 m sensing range, PNP open-collector output, and an IP69K-rated housing. It uses a Red LED light source and terminates in an M12 4-pin connector. This sensor is designed for presence detection across long spans in washdown environments — food processing, beverage lines, or any area where high-pressure, high-temperature cleaning is routine.

Response time is 500 ms — adequate for object presence on a conveyor, but not for high-speed counting or edge detection. The E3Z-T61's 1 ms response is a better fit for fast-moving parts.
