Capacitive presence detection for level and material sensing
The Omron E2K-L26MC1 is an unshielded capacitive proximity sensor from the E2K series, delivering an adjustable sensing distance from 12 mm to 26 mm. It outputs an NPN-NO signal over a 3-wire cable, with a built-in LED indicator for local status. Rated IP66, the plastic-housed unit is suited for environments where dust or hose-down cleaning is routine, though its 0°C to 55°C operating range limits it to conditioned indoor or light-industrial zones rather than freezers or hot enclosures.
IP66 means the sensor is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. The 0°C to 55°C operating band is narrower than many inductive sensors.
