Eight-channel SPI isolator with 500VAC barrier — what it brings to the BOM
The Infineon ISO1I813TXUMA1 is an eight-channel digital isolator from the ISOFACE™ family that communicates over an SPI bus. It uses magnetic coupling to transfer data unidirectionally across a 500VAC isolation barrier.
25 kV/µs CMTI — why it matters for motor drives and inverters
In a variable-frequency drive or industrial inverter, the fast switching edges on the power stage can couple several kilovolts per microsecond across the isolation barrier. A CMTI rating this high means the SPI data stream stays intact through those transients — no bit errors, no false resets on the controller side. For designs that already have a 48-TSSOP footprint, this part fits without a layout change.
Package and rework — the 48-TSSOP reality
The ISO1I813TXUMA1 comes in a 48-TFSOP package (0.240", 6.10mm width), also listed as the supplier device package 48-TSSOP. That is a fine-pitch, surface-mount package with a 0.5 mm lead pitch. Will it survive the hot air? Yes — the lead count is manageable for hand rework with a decent hot-air station and flux.
Active status and supply posture
It is ROHS3 compliant.
