Memory headroom and WiFi throughput for connected products
The ESP32-S2-MINI-2-N4 packs 4 MB of flash and 336 kB of SRAM alongside a 128 kB ROM, giving the firmware stack room for a full TCP/IP stack, TLS libraries, and a local application image without external memory. The 150 Mbps PHY rate on 802.11b/g/n at 2.4 GHz supports real-time sensor streaming or OTA update payloads over a single spatial stream.
Industrial temperature grade and RF link budget
The receiver sensitivity of -97 dBm and a transmit output of 19.5 dBm combine for a link budget that clears 300+ meters line-of-sight in a clean 2.4 GHz band — useful for warehouse or campus deployments where the AP is not in the same room.
Peripheral set and PCB integration
The module exposes ADC, GPIO, I²C, I²S, SPI, PWM, UART, and USB serial interfaces through the 56-VFQFN exposed-pad package. The PCB trace antenna eliminates the cost and tuning of an external ceramic chip — the ground plane clearance and keep-out zone under the antenna edge must follow Espressif's layout guide to hit the -97 dBm sensitivity floor.
Active lifecycle and supply posture
Marked as Active by Espressif — this is a current-production module suitable for new designs and volume builds.
