Multi-protocol wireless MCU for IoT edge nodes
The ESP32-C6 is a 2.4 GHz transceiver IC from Espressif Systems supporting Bluetooth v5.0, Thread, and Zigbee concurrently — a single-chip radio for Matter-compliant smart home, building automation, and industrial sensor networks.
Transmit power and receiver sensitivity
The 21 dBm output power provides link margin for walls and metal enclosures in 2.4 GHz deployments; the -106 dBm sensitivity maintains connection at the edge of range. Current consumption spans 71 mA to 82 mA in receive and 82 mA to 354 mA in transmit — the upper end reflects the 21 dBm PA stage, so the supply rail and thermal pad must be sized for the peak draw.
Modulation includes QAM, CCK, DSSS, OFDM, and O-QPSK — the OFDM mode is used for Thread and Zigbee, while DSSS/CCK serve legacy Bluetooth.
