Push-pull outputs cover both reset polarities
The MAX701CSA+T provides both Active High and Active Low reset outputs, both push-pull. That means no external pull-up resistor is needed for either polarity — the output drives high or low rail-to-rail. This simplifies the BOM and saves a resistor per channel. The push-pull stage can source and sink enough current to drive the reset input of a typical CMOS microcontroller directly. If your design uses an Active Low reset (the more common convention), you tie to the Active Low pin; if the processor expects a high level during reset, the Active High pin is ready. Both are available simultaneously.
No last-time-buy notice, no discontinuation. If your line runs cut tape or tube, the same die is available in alternate suffix variants through the same distribution channel.
