16-bit precision DAC for industrial analog output
The MAX5205BEUB+T is a single-channel 16-bit DAC with buffered voltage output, SPI interface, and 5V analog and digital supply.
The 25 µs typical settling time to ±1 LSB sets the maximum update rate at roughly 40 kHz for full-scale steps. The integral nonlinearity of ±20 LSB max and differential nonlinearity of ±2 LSB max guarantee monotonicity — every digital code increase produces a positive voltage step, which matters for closed-loop systems that cannot tolerate non-monotonic DAC behavior. The ±2 LSB DNL also means the part is specified to be monotonic over the full operating temperature range.
The reference is external, so output range depends on the reference voltage.
The supplier device package is designated 10-uMAX/uSOP. It is a surface-mount part, suitable for automated assembly.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
