The MAX491EESD+T is a full-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with one driver and one receiver integrated into a single 14-SOIC package. It supports data rates up to 2.5 Mbps over balanced differential lines, making it suitable for industrial multi-point networks and long-haul communication links where common-mode noise rejection is critical. The full-duplex architecture allows simultaneous transmit and receive on separate twisted pairs, halving the protocol overhead compared to half-duplex alternatives.
