Single comparator with latch — 5.5ns propagation delay
Its 5.5ns maximum propagation delay makes it suitable for timing-critical threshold detection, line receivers, zero-crossing detectors, and pulse-width discriminators where the output must settle before the next clock edge. The latch input freezes the output state, allowing the comparator to sample an analog level and hold it for subsequent digital capture — useful in sampled-data systems and peak detectors.
Complementary, TTL outputs drive standard 5V or 3.3V logic families directly. The 85dB CMRR and 73dB PSRR mean the comparator rejects common-mode noise on the inputs and supply ripple — important when the part sits near a switching regulator or in a motor-drive environment where ground bounce is present. Single-supply operation from 3V to 5V eliminates the need for a negative rail, simplifying the power tree. The 10mA quiescent current (max) is modest for a 5.5ns comparator — the speed comes from the process, not from burning extra bias current.
