1.1 A per half-bridge — sizing the motor load
The TC78H611FNG,EL is a DMOS motor driver from Toshiba that integrates two half-bridges, each rated for 1.1 A continuous output. That current drives small brushed DC motors or one bipolar stepper motor in general-purpose applications like office automation, vending machines, or small pumps. The PWM interface accepts standard logic-level signals from a microcontroller, so speed and position control are handled in firmware without an external DAC.
The motor supply spans 2.5 V to 15 V. It works with 5 V MCUs on the control side.
Package and rework — 16-TSSOP
The 16-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width, 0.173" pitch) is a fine-pitch surface-mount part. It reflows cleanly with standard lead-free profiles.
Not specified for automotive under-hood or extended outdoor enclosures. The DMOS output stage handles the current with low RDS(on).
