Seven low-side channels in a through-hole DIP
The Toshiba TBD62503APG is a 7-channel low-side N-channel power switch in a 16-DIP through-hole package. Each output can sink up to 300 mA with a maximum load voltage of 50 V, and the inputs are inverting with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio. No external Vcc supply is required — the switch is driven directly by the logic-level input signal. Typical applications include driving relays, solenoids, lamps, and LED arrays in industrial control panels, vending machines, and HVAC systems where a common ground switching architecture is used.
Each of the seven outputs is rated for 300 mA continuous. That's a per-channel ceiling — the total package dissipation limits how many channels can be loaded simultaneously at the maximum current. For relay or lamp loads with inrush, derate the steady-state current to stay within the junction temperature limit at 85°C ambient. The 50 V load rating gives headroom for 24 V industrial rails and 48 V telecom supplies.
Active status, legacy package — plan your supply horizon
However, the 16-DIP through-hole package is a legacy footprint — if your design can accommodate a surface-mount alternative, the TBD62003APG offers the same 7-channel low-side function with 500 mA per output in a smaller package. For new designs that require through-hole, confirm long-term availability with your distributor; independent channels hold inventory for mature parts like this.
