Automotive-grade pre-biased NPN in a tiny SC-75 package
The bias network is built in: a 22 kΩ base resistor (R1) and a 47 kΩ emitter-base resistor (R2) set the turn-on threshold and leakage control, saving two external resistors on the board. It carries AEC-Q101 qualification, so it is qualified for automotive under-hood and chassis-domain environments where reliability screening matters. The SC-75 (SOT-416) surface-mount package fits high-density PCB layouts in engine control units, body controllers, and sensor interface modules.
Active production — no last-time-buy risk
For dual-sourcing or supply resilience, the RN1417(TE85L,F) is a functional peer — same NPN pre-biased topology, same 50 V / 100 mA rating and 250 MHz ft, but with a 10 kΩ base resistor and 4.7 kΩ emitter-base resistor, so the bias point shifts. The RN1108's 22 kΩ / 47 kΩ divider gives a higher turn-on threshold and lower base drive, which matters if your design targets a specific Ic/Ib ratio.
The Cut Tape (CT) option suits small-quantity prototyping or repair runs without committing to a full reel.
