200 mA LDO for noise-sensitive rails
The TLV70031DSET is a single-output, fixed 3.1V LDO regulator from Texas Instruments, rated for 200 mA continuous output. Its 68 dB PSRR at 1 kHz means it attenuates upstream switching noise by a factor of roughly 2500 — useful for powering analog front-ends, ADC reference buffers, or sensor bias where ripple on the supply rail would couple into the signal path. The 250 mV maximum dropout at 200 mA sets the headroom requirement: the input rail must stay at least 250 mV above 3.1 V across load and temperature to keep the output in regulation.
Temperature grade and protection suite
The 55 µA quiescent current keeps the self-heating low even at high ambient — a relevant factor when the 6-WSON package (1.5x1.5 mm) is used in a compact, uncooled enclosure. Built-in protection includes over-current, over-temperature, reverse polarity, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO). The UVLO threshold prevents the output from turning on until the input rail is high enough to maintain regulation, eliminating brown-out startup glitches on the downstream load.
ROHS3 compliant per, covering the EU RoHS exemption list through 2024. The Enable pin allows the regulator to be shut down externally, dropping the supply current to near-zero when the rail is not needed — a standard feature for power-sequencing or sleep-mode designs.
