Product details

What the 1.5 MHz switching frequency means for your filter

The TLV62568DBVT switches at 1.5 MHz, which pushes the fundamental ripple above the AM broadcast band and lets you use a smaller inductor — typically a 2.2 µH to 4.7 µH shielded ferrite — keeping the output filter footprint under 10 mm². At this frequency, the output capacitor's ESR dominates the ripple voltage more than its capacitance; a 22 µF X5R ceramic with 3 mΩ ESR keeps ripple below 10 mV at 1 A load.

Input rail tolerance and the 2.5 V minimum

Maximum input is 5.5 V — that covers 5 V ±10 % rails but not 12 V or 24 V industrial buses; a front-end LDO or wide-VIN buck is needed for those rails.

Adjustable output down to 0.6 V reference

The internal reference is 0.6 V, so the output can be set anywhere from 0.6 V up to the input voltage minus dropout, using an external resistor divider between the FB pin and ground.
