Package and integration story
The SN74AUP1G240DBVT comes in a SOT-23-5 package (SC-74A, SOT-753), a 5-pin surface-mount footprint that fits standard 0.95 mm pitch layouts. The small body—roughly 2.9 mm x 1.6 mm—keeps board real estate tight, but the narrow pad spacing means the solder paste stencil aperture needs a clean release to avoid bridging on the output and supply pins. It is a single inverting buffer with a 3-state output, so the output can be driven high, low, or placed into a high-impedance state. The 3-state control is active-low on the output enable—when the enable pin is pulled low, the output follows the inverted input; when pulled high, the output floats. This makes it useful for shared bus lines where multiple drivers need to release the bus when not active.
Supply voltage and temperature range
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, which covers industrial ambient conditions. The 74AUP family is not qualified to AEC-Q100, so for under-hood or extended automotive use, look at the AUP-Q1 variant.
Lifecycle and sourcing status
The part is also offered in cut-tape quantities for prototype runs, not just full reels.
