Quad 2-input NAND gate in 14-SOIC — 74ALS family
The SN74ALS00ANSR is a Texas Instruments quad 2-input NAND gate from the 74ALS advanced low-power Schottky family, packaged in a 14-SOIC (0.209", 5.30mm width) surface-mount package. The 11ns max propagation delay at 5V and 50pF load sets the timing budget for address decoding, bus gating, or control signal generation in 5V TTL systems — the 74ALS family balances speed and power for backplane and peripheral interfaces where 74F's 5ns is overkill and 74LS's 15ns is too slow.
Logic thresholds and output drive — bus interface fit
Input logic thresholds are 0.8V low and 2V high, compatible with standard TTL levels. The output can source 400µA and sink 8mA, sufficient to drive one or two 74ALS loads plus a short PCB trace — for fan-out beyond four loads or longer backplane runs, buffer the output with a line driver.
