Quad buffer with 3-state outputs — the board-level bus interface
The four independent buffers share a common supply but have individual output-enable controls, so you can gate each channel separately for bus isolation or multiplexing. Housed in a 14-TVSOP package (4.40mm width), this is a surface-mount logic gate for dense PCB layouts.
2V to 5.5V supply — the voltage-agile buffer
At 2V it still meets the 8mA output drive, so a battery-powered 2.5V MCU can drive a 5V peripheral bus through this part. The 3-state outputs allow multiple buffers to share a data line — common on SPI chip-select or address lines where one driver is active at a time.
Active lifecycle, ROHS3 — no LTB risk
For new designs this means no near-term obsolescence risk; for existing BOMs it supports ongoing production without requalification.
