Single LVDS receiver – obsolete, but still in the channel
The SN65LVDS306ZQER is a single LVDS receiver in an 80-ball VFBGA (MICROSTAR JUNIOR) package measuring 5x5 mm.
Obsolete – plan for a replacement now
For new designs or production runs requiring a long-term supply, a pin-compatible or functionally equivalent replacement should be qualified.
Supply voltage and I/O compatibility
The receiver's supply range is 1.65 V to 1.95 V, a typical 1.8 V core logic rail. It is not directly compatible with 3.3 V LVCMOS I/O without level translation on the single-ended output side. The LVDS input is differential and AC-coupled in most designs, so the common-mode range is handled by the receiver itself, but the output logic levels will swing to the supply rail. If the downstream logic runs at 3.3 V, a level shifter or a 3.3 V-tolerant receiver should be considered.
Rated for 405 Mbps, this receiver supports common LVDS serial links such as display interfaces, backplane data paths, and camera serial interfaces.
