400 Mbps per channel — what that buys the bus
Each of the four drivers switches at 400 Mbps, which translates to a 200 MHz fundamental clock rate for NRZ data. That is fast enough for parallel-to-serial conversion in 24-bit colour video links at 60 Hz, or for aggregating four 100 Mbps data streams onto a single backplane. The LVDS signalling keeps the voltage swing small (350 mV typical), so EMI stays low even at these edge rates — no extra shielding needed on a well-laid-out board.
Supply and temperature — where it runs
It will not tolerate 5V on the supply pin, so a separate 3.3V rail or a local LDO is required in mixed-voltage designs.
