Multi-rail supervisor for sequencing and fault detection
The SCANSTA476TSD/NOPB is an 8-channel multi-voltage supervisor from Texas Instruments, designed to monitor up to eight separate supply rails in a single 16-WSON package. It asserts an active-low reset when any monitored voltage falls below its threshold, making it a fit for systems that require coordinated power-up sequencing or fault detection across multiple domains — think FPGA core, I/O, and auxiliary rails on a mixed-voltage board.
Channel count and temperature range
Eight monitored channels let this supervisor cover the typical rail count on a mid-complexity digital board — 1.0 V core, 1.8 V DDR, 3.3 V I/O, 5 V analog, plus auxiliary supplies — without needing multiple supervisor ICs.
Housed in a 16-WFDFN with exposed pad (5 mm × 5 mm WSON), the package requires a thermal-land pattern on the PCB to draw heat from the die into the board copper. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profiles is expected.
