Without that, the 5.5 mA quiescent current plus output current can push the junction temperature above the 125°C rating in a warm enclosure. The tab is also electrically connected to the negative supply rail (V-), so the PCB layout needs to account for that — no shared copper pour with signal ground unless you isolate it.
There is no direct pin-compatible replacement listed in the official records. The TLV9351IDCKR is a lower-voltage (4.5 V to 40 V) general-purpose op-amp with a similar bandwidth but cannot match the 80 V supply capability of the OPA452. For a high-voltage alternative, look at the OPA454 or OPA462 series from Texas Instruments, which share the same supply range and package options.
The slew rate is 10 V/µs. This is adequate for amplifying audio-band signals and moderate-speed control loops, but not for high-frequency video or fast-switching applications.
