High-speed dual op-amp for signal conditioning chains
The OPA2822E/250 is a dual-channel, general-purpose operational amplifier from Texas Instruments, designed for applications requiring wide bandwidth and fast slew rate. With a 170 V/µs slew rate and 400 MHz -3dB bandwidth, it handles video signals, ADC driver stages, and fast pulse amplification without excessive slew-induced distortion. Each channel draws 9.6 mA supply current and can deliver up to 150 mA output current — enough to drive 50-ohm cables or multiple ADC inputs directly. The 240 MHz gain-bandwidth product gives loop gain headroom for precision gains up to 10x at video frequencies.
Supply range, temperature grade, and package fit
Operates from a 4 V to 12.6 V supply span — single +5 V or ±5 V rails both work, making it flexible for mixed-signal boards where the analog rail is already set. The -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature range covers most benchtop and outdoor equipment, though not full automotive. Housed in the 8-VSSOP (also 8-MSOP) package with 0.65 mm pitch, it fits tight layouts where a standard SOIC-8 is too wide. The surface-mount footprint is shared with many pin-compatible dual op-amps, simplifying board respins if a swap is needed later.
