What the LMV821M7-TI brings to a signal chain
Its 5.6 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 2V/µs slew rate handle moderate-speed sensor conditioning, filter stages, and ADC drive where board space is tight. The rail-to-rail output swing and 45 mA output current let it drive a sampling ADC input or a low-impedance load directly, while the 300 µA supply current keeps the power budget lean in battery-operated gear.
The 2V/µs slew rate limits the large-signal bandwidth: a 2 V peak-to-peak output swing starts to distort above roughly 160 kHz. For smaller signals the 5.6 MHz GBW provides clean small-signal gain up to that frequency. If your application needs to amplify a 100 kHz square wave or a fast pulse, the TLV9351IDCKR sibling offers 20 V/µs slew rate at the cost of higher supply current — a trade worth checking against your waveform and power budget.
Package and mounting — SC-70-5 reality
The SC-70-5 (SOT-353) footprint is about 2.0 mm × 2.1 mm — very small. That saves board area but demands careful soldering: the fine-pitch leads (0.65 mm pitch) are easy to bridge or lift. Reflow profile should follow the standard lead-free ramp for small packages; hand-soldering with a fine tip and flux is possible but slow.
