The LM75CIMMX-3/NOPB: The ±2°C typical accuracy at 25°C is adequate for thermal management in server racks, power supplies, or industrial controllers where the goal is to detect a 5-10°C overtemperature event, not to log precise ambient readings. The ±3°C limit at -55°C or +125°C is the number to use for worst-case thermal shutdown thresholds.
Texas Instruments has marked the LM75CIMMX-3/NOPB as Obsolete. For a new design, the active LM75B or TMP75 series from TI offer similar I²C digital temperature sensing with the same pinout and register map — a drop-in replacement candidate that avoids a board spin.
