Automotive dual comparator in a small footprint
It operates from a single or dual supply spanning 2V to 36V, covering 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems without an intermediate regulator. The open-collector, rail-to-rail output stage allows wired-OR connections and level translation to logic rails down to 2V. Propagation delay is 1µs typical, suited for threshold detection, over-voltage/under-voltage lockout, and window comparators in powertrain, body control, and battery management modules.
Quiescent current is 600µA maximum, keeping the load on the always-on supply low in key-off monitoring circuits.
Input characteristics for sensor interfaces
Maximum input offset voltage is 2.5mV at 5V, and input bias current is 0.025µA maximum at 5V. These figures allow direct connection to high-impedance sensors — thermistors, Hall-effect elements, or current-shunt amplifiers — without a buffer stage. The 21mA typical output sink at 5V drives optocoupler LEDs or logic inputs directly.
Supplied in a TSOT-23-8 package (SOT-23-8 variant), the part occupies minimal board area — useful when adding comparator functions to a dense ECU or sensor module PCB.
