Hot swap controller for 2.9V to 17V rails
The Texas Instruments LM25061PMME-2/NOPB is a general-purpose hot swap controller that manages inrush current and protects against overcurrent and undervoltage on supply rails from 2.9V to 17V. It drives an external N-channel MOSFET — there is no internal switch — so the pass element and its SOA are your call. The controller itself draws 1.6 mA quiescent current. Programmable features include current limit, fault timeout, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO), with an auto-retry response after a fault clears.
Package and mounting — 10-VSSOP on a 3.00 mm body
Housed in a 10-VSSOP package (3.00 mm width, 0.118" body), this is a surface-mount part intended for compact PCB layouts. The 10-VSSOP footprint matches the 10-MSOP / 10-TFSOP land pattern. No exposed thermal pad on this package — thermal dissipation is through the leads and board copper, so keep the ambient below 85°C and watch the junction temperature if the external MOSFET is switching heavy loads.
Industrial temperature grade and deployment
Rated for -40°C to 85°C operating temperature, this controller fits industrial environments: motor drives, base-station line cards, battery-powered equipment, and general-purpose backplane hot-swap applications. The supply range covers common 3.3V, 5V, and 12V rails with margin for transients.
Active lifecycle and sourcing posture
Listed as Active and ROHS3 compliant.
