The JL156BGA is a single JFET-input operational amplifier in a hermetic TO-99-8 metal can. It delivers a 5 MHz gain-bandwidth product with a 7.5 V/µs slew rate, drawing just 60 nA of input bias current. The 10 V to 40 V supply span lets it work off unregulated rails or split supplies. Output can source or sink 50 mA per channel.
Package and mounting — TO-99-8 metal can
The TO-99-8 is a through-hole, hermetically sealed metal can. It's the standard for military/aerospace designs that demand moisture resistance and mechanical robustness. The package footprint is an 8-lead circular pin circle.
The 7.5 V/µs slew rate sets the large-signal bandwidth: a 10 V peak-to-peak output swing slews fully in about 1.3 µs. That's fine for audio, servo loops, and 100 kHz–1 MHz signal conditioning, but not for video or fast pulse amplification. The 5 MHz gain-bandwidth product means a closed-loop gain of 10 gives a 500 kHz small-signal bandwidth.
