50 Mbps and 25 kV/µs CMTI — what they mean on the bench
At 50 Mbps the ISO7420FEDR keeps up with high-speed SPI clocks and UART baud rates without adding jitter. The 25 kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity means it holds its output state through fast voltage spikes on the isolation barrier — a spec that matters when the isolator bridges a noisy motor-drive ground and a clean controller ground. Pulse-width distortion is held to 3 ns max, so the duty cycle of a PWM signal or a Manchester-encoded data stream stays intact across the barrier.
