The ISO7220BD is a dual-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from Texas Instruments using capacitive coupling technology. It delivers a guaranteed 5 Mbps data rate across a 2500 Vrms isolation barrier, which covers the majority of isolated SPI, UART, and GPIO signal paths in industrial and automotive systems. The 2/0 input/output channel configuration means both channels drive from side 1 to side 2, so this part handles two downstream signals per package — no bidirectional lanes. The 70 ns propagation delay (max) and 3 ns pulse-width distortion give enough timing margin for 5 Mbps clocked interfaces, but if you are pushing toward 10 Mbps or need a bidirectional channel, you are looking at a different isolator family.
