AEC-Q100 grade 1 high-side current monitor for 12V to 48V automotive rails
The Texas Instruments INA168QPWRQ1 is a high-side current-sense monitor qualified to AEC-Q100 for automotive applications. It measures current by sensing the voltage drop across an external shunt resistor on the supply rail, with ±0.5% accuracy over the full operating range. Packaged in an 8-TSSOP, the INA168QPWRQ1 is a surface-mount part suited for compact ECU and module layouts where board space is constrained.
High-side sensing — no ground-path disturbance
High-side sensing means the monitor sits between the supply and the load, measuring current without injecting errors into the ground path. This is preferred in automotive and industrial designs where ground shifts or shared ground returns would corrupt a low-side measurement.
Active lifecycle — no LTB risk for current production
The INA168QPWRQ1 carries an active lifecycle status with ROHS3 compliance. There is no last-time-buy or end-of-life notice in effect, making it suitable for new designs and ongoing production without obsolescence watch.
